Keychains and Mac OS 8.6

How possible is it to add keychain support to Mac OS 8.6?

I've had to upgrade the Appleshare extension on my PB to access a Windows server, but I'm unable to save my passwords to the "keychain" presumably as Mac OS 8.6 doesn't have a keychain.

Ideas?

Keychain was a freeware app in those days before apple sucked it up. If you can find it's original name and an old copy of it, you just might be in business.

Oh dear

If it ever did exist, it seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. At least from Google, which is basically the same.

Anyone ever used it?

Now there's a suprise

coming from a person who's signature is a direct quote from Holy Grail and who appears to have a picture of Eric Idle as their avatar.

Do _you_ know what Keychain used to be called?
