Once again its time for everybody's favorite game of historic hardware...Name That Nubus Card!!!
The picture isn't great but it will have to do for the moment. The two large chips on the righthand side are an Altera EMP5128LC S9513 (bottom) and an Altera MAX EMP7128ELC84-15 A9443. Then there's a row of Texas Instruments chips below a TI DSP. The large socketed chip is a TI 425AAL 8047007 TPC1280VB-160C. The large chip furthest to the left is makred LSI L1A7906 Kodak 2B1333 KDSP-4000. On the right near the slot cover it says "MIX BOARD" within a white bordered rectangle.
I don't remember exactly what system profiler said it was (its been awhile) but I do recall that it wasn't much more than Kodak Mix Board or something similar.
I assume this is part of a multi-board system but so far I haven't found anything conclusive. Kodak did produce some sort of high end imaging system called Cineon that I think used Nubus systems. I got this awhile back in a lot of cards on Ebay that were "saved from a trash can". I believe they came from a university. The only date on the card is a copyright of 1991 on the Texas Instruments DSP,
So step right up and play the game! I think this is my only entry into the contest so everybody else needs to make some submission

Hey
Did you run the FCC number? Does it have one?
William
Not that I can see. i never even thought to do that. where can you run them, the FCC site?
Tom
Hey,
You can run the numbers through google. Any numbers on it at all?
edit: I'm so totally wrong.
Lots of nice looking ports, no connector... I'm going to guess Photoshop accelerator. If I recall, there were a handful of accelerator cards that were designed to speed up various processes in Photoshop (and possibly other graphics programs?).
Something close to that for sure. When I googl (given the info above) I keep coming back to a Lightning Effects card by Spectral Innovations. Limited details are available for this...
http://www.mactech.com/articles/mactech/Vol.07/07.10/MacWorld91/ has a decent write-up as does http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:qwf8ZpDnNbMJ:www.seyboldreports.com/SRDP/dp6/dp06-07b.htm+kodak+mix+board+nubus+DSP&hl=en. But that card was known to have an AT&T accelerator on it...
This is definetely an acelerator of some form, too bad there is little else to go along with it.

. . . has the answer. Click on "Links Project" in my sig and look for the (rudimentary) DeclROM spelunking howto & tools.

I'd guess it could be a JPEG accelerator used back in the day when PhotoCD was a new format. That would also explain why it doesn't have any I/O ports.
As along shot, is the name Marc Lindahl on the board? His name appeared in several Google searches relating to Nubus and Altera DSP's.
