WOZNIAC-1 for Android™ - Free Purchase for Closed Testing Participants

Hello fellow Apple-1 enthusiasts,

Previously available exclusively on Apple devices, I’m now seeking your help in bringing WOZNIAC-1 to the Android platform!

Google Play requires closed testing before public release. To qualify, I need at least 12 testers who remain opted in for at least 14 consecutive days before launch. Participating is easy—just sign up, test the app, and enjoy exclusive early access!

Please note: WOZNIAC-1 is a paid app. However, for a limited time, I am offering a free purchase of the app to anyone willing to participate in closed testing. Once the Closed Testing program is complete and the app becomes publicly available on Google Play, this offer will no longer be available.

Want to shape the future of WOZNIAC-1? Be among the first to experience it on Android! Send me a private message with your Google Play email to get started.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Tim

Want WOZNIAC-1 on Android? Help Make It Happen!

While roughly 11 people have expressed interest to date, only 4 are presently enrolled in the Closed Testing program.

The good news is that promo codes are still available—if you’re interested, now’s your chance to enroll!  This is a free app purchase with no obligation to you, though I would request that you at least enroll in the Closed Testing program if you receive a promo code.

Beyond that, whatever testing you are able to do is great.  Any level of testing helps—even just installing and launching the app!

Your support is key to bringing WOZNIAC-1 to Android!

I've received excellent feedback from those who are already testing it, and I greatly appreciate their input.

If you would like to see WOZNIAC-1 on Android and you’ve been thinking about joining, now is a great time!  Send me a private message with your Google Play email to get started.

Thoughts or questions? Feel free to post them here!

Thank you,

Tim

WOZNIAC-1 for Android – Development Update

Just a quick update—

As of June 1, 2025, development on WOZNIAC-1 for Android has stopped due to low engagement during the beta testing phase. Google Play requires sustained participation by at least 12 testers—actively enrolled with the app installed—for 14 consecutive days in order to proceed toward a Production Release. Unfortunately, since Closed Testing opened two months ago, WOZNIAC-1 has consistently fallen short of this threshold, with fewer than half the required number of testers enrolled since early May.

The iOS/macOS UI overhaul introduced at WWDC25 on June 9 presents new challenges for implementing a consistent and elegant user interface, leading me to focus efforts on preserving usability for iOS/macOS 26.

Thank you to everyone who participated and shared feedback—your input has been genuinely appreciated. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out or reply here.

Hi Tim,this is really sad

Hi Tim,

this is really sad news.

As a Betatester I can say that I am truly sorry that your project did not get the interest and attention it deserved.

Good luck with your other projects and thank you for the time you spent on this project.

I wish you all the best!  :-)

Sorry to hear this. I've moved fully to F-Droid and GrapheneOS, or I would have offered to test.

Hi WOZNIAC!

I don't know what the reason is for such low activity. I really liked this app, great job Tim!
