...there are a couple of used Mac dealers that I check regularly to get a feel for what the market will bear. http://www.baucomcomputers.com and http://www.macofalltrades.com are two of the low price leaders, and what they're charging is usually the bottom dollar.
I've bought several machines from both over the years, and they treat their customers well.
I search ebay as a gauge for buying and selling my geeky goodies.
Sometimes you can sell an item for more in the local paper, but the margin is decreasing as more of the population warms to online shopping.
Cool. I just never really know. I usually get most of my stuff for free. You know? Walk into someones house and see a SE in the corner. You start messing with it and pretty soon they are helping you load it into your trunk. I'm just wondering because i'm going to be selling some stuff pretty soon and wanted to know an idea of a price to ask.

I suggest searching for your item on ebay, then switching to "completed items" and browse through the results, factoring in the feedback of the seller, the configuration (RAM and size of hard drive, if it has a good upgraded video card, etc.), and the fact that it isn't refurbished with a warantee from a reputable seller, and you can get a rough idea.
In addition, check as many resellers as you can. I found out about most of the Mac resellers by regularly checking Dealmac. Although it's a site for buyers, it would give you as a seller an idea of the bottom end.
There is no magic price list, it takes a fair amount of work.
