How much are my wheels worth?

When I bought my Jimmy the seller threw in four extra wheels with tires. The tires are shot, but the wheels seem to be in fine condition (scrapes, scratches, little rust etc.).

I don't have a real good guess as to how much this set of four is worth. I'm not looking to sell here, but to get some input/advice.

The wheels are 15" and seem to be made of aluminum. They are not fancy or polished, even heavy buffing just cleaned (them up they don't hold a shine), the face is solid with rivets no spokes or anything.

Are there industry standard terms that describe my wheels and would help me research pricing better? Any help is great.

Pictures?

Are you able to take pictures of said rims? The old addage "a picture's worth a 1000 words" holds true here. We'd probably be able to give you a better idea of what the market value would be on your rims if we could see them. A lot depends on the style and availability of rims such as those.

Cheers,

Pics

Yeah, I'll try to add some pictures. These are rough, utilitarian wheels, less fancy than the OEM wheels on Jimmy/Blazer models.

Aluminum wheels dont rust, so

Aluminum wheels dont rust, so if they have rust on them, they are quite obviously steel. As for the price, not much. Old wheels like that sell for very little, maybe 80-100 bucks for all 4 if they are aluminum and in good shape. If they are steel, and rusted like you said, hardly worth selling.

Aluminum oxidizes very quickly and that gives it the dull finish. If you want it to stay shiny you are going to need to clear coat them with something.
