How hard is it to adapt later proc. cards for this motherboard? Can the dual 867 be adapted at all? thanks.

You'll need to supply power to it. Also the conenctor faces the wrong way.
Are you referring to the dual 867 or just QS cards in general. I know (I think) that MDD proc. cards can't be adapted to DA but I thought that the dual 867 might be an exception since it had a 133 system bus to begin with. (?)
I'm talking about all cards from 733 to 1ghz. (except MMD obviously) The card is the same interface, but it's flipped around and hard to make fit right.
As far as I know they will plug in just fine (QS modules that is). All the CPU upgrades out there work for both systems, and if the connector was reversed, then obviously the CPU upgrades would differ from each other. I just looked at the different maker models, the sawtooth-QS2002 all use the same cpu model (just different PLL setting according to bus speed). The MDD upgrades are seperate as they are very different.
Personally, I think a 3rd party upgrade would be your best bet. Giga Designs (www.gigadesigns.com) have some great upgrades for the DA - right up to dual 1.7s!!
Yea that's what I've been saying repeatedly. It will plug in and work but you'll lose full length PCI access.
