Dang...

Well, I dropped the Powerbook Pismo that I had (I previously posted that I broke the mouse connector on the board) and broke the screen. Sadly, I have no money to repair/replace the screen. However, since I don't give up broken machines easily, I turned it into an iMac DV (spec. Speaking) It has the same (almost) specs as an iMac DV, So I went into the PB and unhooked the screen cables (to prevent it from going to sleep with the display closed) and hooked it up to a MAG 17" Monitor and hooked up a KB and Mouse. Right now it is sitting on the keyboard tray with KB and mouse on top of desk w/ monitor. The nice thing is is that it is somewhat expandable over the iMac DV... It has a PC Card slot. So it is holding a USB 2.0 card connected to a 3.5" HDD. I also have a Combo drive in it (it is the same model used in G3 ibook (dual USB) except it is black and has an eject button) I placed the CD/DVD tray facing out for easy access. (plus it has a Backup PS (a.k.a : the battery)
It is actually a nice setup and I am typing this from it. In fact it is an expensive way to acquire a nice version of the iMac DV (even if it means extending the life of a PB)
