What sort of Apple II server are we talking about? There are plenty of resources on the Internet, emulators, content servers, etc. Do you mean actual Apple II hardware connected online as a server of some sort?
I am talking about actually taking my apple //e and connecting it to the internet to be some sort of server, probably ftp (for maybe one file!) would be easiest, I'm not really sure. It doesn't seem very possible because the lowest mac you can get on the internet is a plus; you can't put a 128k online, and an apple // has less ram than that. But on the other hand, I'm sure there were computers way back in the day that had about the same ram as an apple //e and worked as servers and I know you can get ethernet for an apple // somewhere. You'd probably have to write software yourself to get it working right.
I know that they've run a web server off Contiki, but I believe it was the C64 port. Perhaps it's doable on the Apple II?
