According to one of the big Mac magazines (no McDonalds joke intended), ATI has brought back the portrait oriented monitor option with its' Radeon 9800 Pro Mac Special Edition video card. (SRP$399). I was wondering if anyone here has one, likes it, etc. . .

Versa Vision works for any retail radeon made after the 8500 (8500, 9000, 9200 PCI, 9800 Pro, 9800SE, X800XT). This is accessable through ATI Displays. You can rotate the screen in 90 degree increments. If you have a monitor (like many newer LCD's) that can go to portrait mode, it works great. Also available in ATI Displays is the TV out setup, and the 3D overrides section. 3D Overrides allow you to force FSAA, anistropic filtering, and quality for any aplication that has 3D OpenGL elements. This is great for slightly older games that didnt generally have this option. nVidia has no such offering.
Personally, if I had a G5 (the 9800SE is G5 only, the Pro is G4/G5) I would get the X800XT. As it offers far superior performance. Although it is 100 bucks more.
