DivX video on a Macintosh?

Hello, can anybody tell me how to play the DivX video format on Mac (OSX)? I was sent a DivX formatted movie burned on a DVD disk, how can I play this on OSX? The computer is a G4 dual mirrored doors.

I would recommend something l

I would recommend something like VNC or the 3ivx codec for playing these files. Divx player (at least on the PC) is a bloated piece of spyware infested c**p.

I second the 3ivx recommendation.

I use the Quicktime plug in and it works well on my 400 MHz G4

mPlayer

I use mPlayer in X.3 to play divx, avi, and mpg files. I think that it's a pretty good all around player. It also has a library feature to keep all of your video files in one place. Best of all, it's open source so it's free!

I second on the mplayer app. I seems to handle anything I throw at it.
