I can't view the forums anymore properly.

(note, i have no idea how it happened, but I was in the Remember Outdoors forum when I submitted this new topic but it ended up in "color classic" for some really strange reason. Hence the respot, i can't seem to delete the incorrect posting).

This is really odd, but I can’t view the forums correctly anymore. Its like ALL the graphics have disappeared except for the applfritter logo. See here:

I go to my accout settings but I have no idea how to reset the scheme of this website.

For info, i am using windows xp pro, with all updates, IE on a 1280x1024 resolution with fonts set to largest (I have bad eyes).

I don’t know whats wrong or what do do and i can barely see any threads because the text is so big and it jumbles together with other text.

That's because AF is currrently without a full theme due to the upgrade to the latest version of Drupal.

Set the text size to Larger instead of Largest.

Sorry. That doesn't solve

Sorry.

That doesn't solve the problem. If i set it to larger instead of largest, its a tiny bit better, but still incredibably awful compared to what it was a week ago.

Its so ugly now. I have to have my resolution set to 1280x1024 becuase I use a LCD monitor and can't lower my res.

What happened to the site? It was more than acceptable a week ago. Now its gone to poor. I can't be changing my text size everytime i go to one site. I can't see most sites on text size larger or smaller (bad eyes).

Hmm...

I took a look at it on an XP box, and it's displaying correctly at normal settings. Do I understand your complaint is that, with the browser's text size set to "largest", the Applefritter text is much larger than other websites?

Anybody else have thoughts on the new theme?

XP View and Text Size

In Explorer on XP, from the menus at the top of the screen, go to View, then Text Size. A setting of Medium (there is no setting for "Rare" or "Well Done") delivers a readable page. This works at 1600x1200, 1280x1024, 1024x768 and 800x600. Text is much to small for me to see beyond 1600x1200.

Larger also works though you may have some of the site pushed "off screen" at lower screen resolutions.

Largest delivers a nearly unreadable site at anything under 1600x1200. Even at that layout, it's pushing content off screen.

Tom, I haven't looked at the site on my Mac at home (T-1 at work, <56k dial-up on noisy 100-year old copper wire at home), so this is only the result of testing the View options against different screen resolution in Explorer on XP.

The selection of "Well Done" would apply to all of your work on the new site! Thanks for sharing!

Tom, the answer is YES.

Tom, the answer is YES. In Explorer on XP, when set to Largest, the text is considerably larger than other sites...at least that's what I'm seeing.

In addition to arbitrarily trying this on some other sites today, I also logged-in to three other sites where I have forum accounts, toggled between each of the settings in View/Text Size, and the effect of changing text size was either minimal or non-existant. It's much more dramatic on Applefritter.

Yes, thats exactly what the i

Yes, thats exactly what the issue is that I am having. Is when I set the text size to "largest" its is significantly larger than other websites.

When I set the res to normal: I actually like the new look, i perfer the solid lines that the site now has over those dotted lines that it used to have.

But still, I use the ctrl-up/down wheel to change the text sizes to largest whenver i go to a website. Sometimes a website will for whatever reason, automaticlaly change my text size to normal, buts rather intrusive.

Thanks for taking the time to look into this issue.
