What Mac Model # has the Mystic logic board?

Hello again,

I recently done the HighRes 13" mod to my CC but still not satified with the (hourglass) distortions, even tinkered with serveral Caps to LC26... so I decided to look for an LC 575, which a friend told me it has the "Mystic board" that can just plugged dirrectly into the CC's backplane to complete the monitor adjustments (since the orig CC logic board is too weak to drive anything after the mod).

I went online to find out what an LC575 looked like, and bought one at a garage sales. It looked identically as the one I have seen in Apple History site. But when I brought it home an took out the logic board. It is nothing like a Mystic Board, and sure wont fit my CC's back plane. So I looked on back side of the unit, and it says M3872 (mfr. 1994). Turned out it is an LC 580.

So, could someone help me identify what Mac Model M # should I be looking for that has the Mystic logic board?

Thank you kindly

I believe this is not correct. Any monitor geometry issues are entirely a matter for the analog board.

The poster above is correct..

The poster above is correct.. however, you are looking for an LC575.. the LC580 is basically has a 6x00 connector harness.

Hi again, My first Mystic

Hi again,

My first Mystic board arrived yesterday... plugged in, and it booted right up on HighRes 640x480 @67Mhz. All colors, images, screen settings came back alive. And most of all the distortion (hourglass) that I had been struggling with, had went away...
I'm guessing that I probably wont be needing the capacitors. But I wont know that until I'm done with the VGA/13" mod.

Thanks everyone Smile
