Game controller for eMac...

Well... as much as it annoys me that I've had to wait 2 whole weeks... the day is drawing near when I should be picking up my eMac. And seeing as how I'm gonna be using it as a game system a lot of the time, can anyone reccomend the best, most commonly supported gamepad I could use with it? I'm not sure how many would be compatible with most if not all games I'd be getting... the first two will be Nascar Racing 2003 and Nobody Lives Forever.

Suggestions?

Oh and I'm not sure its worth asking this, but anyway- will it be at all usable with the 128MB RAM it comes with, or should I steal the PC133 256MB RAM chip out of my mum's iMac as soon as possible?(she won't mind, given the iMac's only a fax/email machine these days)

you could hack an Xbox one to work ... there were threads on the old forums about it ... that would be a good bet ...

as for the ram ... you will certainly need to upgrade it ... 128mb is the minimum for OS X alone ... i would buy a 512mb stick for it ... it shouldnt cost you too much ...

:p

128MB is the minimum for OSX to run on? I once started a 233MHz iMac with 32MB RAM right into OSX... regardless of the fact that booting it took 15 minutes, it DID work. Wink

You like your Macintosh more than me, don't you, Dave? Dave? Can you hear me, Dave...?
