Ok, I finally managed to get the bondi I'm working on booted, and I found that it has an app called "fool proof" installed. it's keeping me from deleting a few things, getting info on items, and I'm not sure what else. Is there a way to remove it from the system or am I stuck reformatting? I tried booting with the extensions off and with no luck it was still keeping things from being deleted or moved. Any ideas?

I also forgot to mention that I'm locked out of all the control panels as well.
Have you tried booting off a CD and erasing all of the Fool-Proof items. We had it at my school and doing that worked just fine.
I'll hook up the CD drive and give that a try.
Rock on, it's ready to go now. I'll leave the drive intact until I figure out just what the heck I'm gonna do with it. 64mb ram isn't quite enough for X.
I haven't heard that name since 1997 when I got out of high school. We always did the Shift key during boot to disable all extensions from starting (including fool proof) then did what you did and waxed fool proof or just went in with resedit and reset the password to something we knew. Then the teacher couldn't disable it anymore.
What's funny is my group really knew what they were doing, and there were 3 kids that were wannabe hax0r l33t0 skr1pt kiddies!!!11OMFGBBQ!!! that actually took credit for locking the teacher out of foolproof. But they couldn't remember the password they used. Conveniently. They got the in-school-suspensions.
Good times. Oh well, glad you got FoolProof un-installed. Thanks for bringing back some fun memories from 8 years ago. Damn, I feel old.
Don't tell Sef that!
wow, i havent heard that name in a while. If you cna hold down the shift key, then turn off foolproof and delete it, thats the way to go. Some versions allowed you to disable booting with extensions off, in that case, you willl have to reformat.
