GEOS Sftware fo Apple II

Tech,

You should be able to go up on eBay to find this software. I myself bought it there not too long ago for a reasonable price. If its not there the first time you look keep checking back.

You can actually download it for free...

Breadbox Software, the current owners of GEOS, offer it as a free download at

http://www.breadbox.com

Click on downloads, then AppleGEOS on the left.

Of course they offer no support for it, but at least they offer it instead of keeping it away from the public.

That's funny.

My sister used to live in New Port Richie and work on the casino boats in Port Richie. Breadbox used to be based in Port Richie. I was down there one day a couple years ago. If I'd have known I'd have stopped by or something. GEOS was the first GUI I ever used, back on my C-64. That Koala tablet was killer with GEOPaint, IIRC.

It runs pretty snappy with my Transwarp on my IIe. All I need now is a boot program so I can select between Contiki, GEOs and Prodos....

Don't know if it will work for you, but have you tried Taifun Boot from NinjaForce?

If you had a GS, there is also ProBoot - you need to use GS/OS to config it, but it technically works on P8.
