I have a re-flashed radeon 7000 pci card that I put in my rev. a Beige G3, and I have 2 questions: 1. How do I set it as my startup video card in OF (it is in the middle slot.) 2. For some reason it is crashing my computer no matter what I'm doing. It will run for probably half an hour then just freeze up. Also, when I put my usb card back in, it freezes right at the spinning wheel. (I am running 10.3.9)It is a 32mb vga only card. I have already tried resetting the pram to no avail. Any suggestions?

I had no problems wherever I put my Radeon card, but try putting the Radeon in the top PCI slot. It's a faster slot, and the top slot is the standard place to put the video card - whether the OS is more likely to find it there, I don't know.
Hook up your monitor to the Radeon, and start the Mac. It may take a bit for it to find it, but you should at least get a grey screen.
Just to check: you did follow all the directions for re-flashing and have used the ATI updater with the card in the Mac, correct?
I tried it in the top slot, and it still didnt work. It crashed when i put my usb card back in.
As for Radeons bought new as PC PCI cards: CompUSA has several in PCI and AGP, and MicroCenter has a couple AGP cards. Arer any of these recommended for flashing? I've read that the DDR versions are preferred, but has anyone tried any of these? Maybe I should look up the R7k flashing page...
I had some adventures with my flashed PC Radeon 7000 that you can read about here:

Scroll down and you'll find a lot of helpful information and links that others provided. I finally abandoned trying to fix my card. It's sitting in a box awaiting a second attempt, but after a lot of time spent with my first failed attempts, I lack the energy to go at it again, at least for now.
