will a ibook clamshell display on a white ibook 500 or 600?

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows if a display from a clamshell ibook will function in the newer ibooks? If they have the same conectores perhaps? ? ?

Sadly, it won't

The dual USB form factor (500 mhz to 1.33 ghz iBook G3 and G4) have the lvds connector towards the top middle of the lcd, offset to the right a little bit. The lvds connector on the clamshell iBook is on the side of the bottom right. Beyond that, the lcd in the clamshells is limited to 800x600, while the dual usb form factor utilizes 1024x768. On the upside, the lcd is interchangeable between all of the dual usb form factor iBooks and the 12" PowerBook G4. The connectors are all in the same places.
