Quartz Extreme and 10.4.4...

Well, I just remembered that I needed to update to the lastest version of Mac OS. As most updates go, things kind of get broken sometimes. Most I can deal with. Quartz Extreme on my B&W isn't one of those things.

The question I'm asking is if anyone else with the Quartz Extreme hack on their PCI video card has updated to 10.4.4. If so, does it still work? Thanks in advance...

Thats odd, I updated to 10.4.

Thats odd, I updated to 10.4.4 without issue, quartz extreme still works fine on my B&W with a radeon 7000.

Have you tried re-applying the hack? its possible that a config file or two got overwritten during the update…

Hmm...

I haven't yet updated to 10.4.4 as of now. I was just wondering if the update had broken the PCI Extreme hack.

Hmm...

Well, it went just fine. I did have to reinstall the PCI Extreme hack and the UNO theme, but besides that everything went well.

updateing to 10.4.4

I read an article about the horrors of updating to 10.4.4. Apparently it will undo most hacks. I didn't read it until after I had installed 4.4. I had to reinstall Front Row on my Digital Audio. I wasn't able to find the article again, or I would have posted the link.
