800 K FLOPPY to small ?

I have been trying to convert 2img images for the apple IIGs.But the images are turning
out to be a couple of kilobytes to big to fit on to the 800k floppy what is the problem.
They should fit but are not.I am getting the images from virtual apple. Also I am using asimov.

Are they really hard drive images?

If so, you might be able to "mount" them directly, depending on your emulator. Another option - CiderPress might be able to reconstitute them correctly if they really are 800k images.

Edit: one more thought came to mind. You might run into that problem if you're copying the image file itself onto a 800k disk instead of using the file to build the entire diskette image.

send them over localtalk

Are you running GS/OS on the IIgs? If so, if you have an older Mac nearby with a serial port (printer / modem ports), connect the mac and the IIgs with a localtalk printer cable and send the stuff over via appletalk. Thats how I've got stuff over to my IIgs thats larger than 800K, only drawback is that you end up with another machine taking up space and power.

Is it exactly 64 or maybe just a few more bytes bigger than 819,200? CiderPress can save it as an "unadorned ProDOS order" file for you and strip off the 2img header. But Asimov should be able to handle it either way...
