Why does the iMac Dalmation have those brown haze spots near the top front of the spotted pattern?
I originally thought they were heat marks (burn marks) from the CRT, but if you check out the Apple created desktop picture supplied with the operating system, those brown spots are on it as well.
Anyone know?
I think that it was about this time that Jonathan Ive was rebuked about his suggestion to make the iMac G4 look like what the iMac G5 ultimately looked like. I can only assume that he made two of the worst looking 'chic-kitch' designs in the history of consumer electronics just to get back at Steve Jobs.

I wish I could answer, though. I don't know how brown spots belong on a white and blue computer. I can't find a good picture of that area on Google, though.
Here is the desktop picture that comes with OS 9. It shows the brown spots.
