Election 2006 Observation
So... the Democrats have won the majority of seats in the House of Representatives and in the Senate.
As I was flipping around the talk radio stations, listening to the various stuffed shirts and talking heads bemoan or celebrate the election results, I happened across the local classic rock station playing "Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who...

Regardless of political views
Regardless of political views of a particular person, one has to admit the news media in general are biased. Proof is in the pudding, as the saying goes. Just this morning the local news had some story about things going on the the govt. and the report said flat out "now that the Democrats are in control blah blah blah." Let's not forget that their power shift doesn't happen until January. Then, they have to pass legislation and it had to go into effect. THEN they are in control and what they do makes a difference. Also, on the Oprah Winfrey show has someone inside the NYSE this afternoon, commenting on how great the economy is doing and how to invest. But, according to many people just 4 weeks ago things were in the toilet. Good investors have already put money into the market. Buy low, sell high. Low was a long time ago. It's too late to get on the rollercoaster and get the gains of real investors.
The time to buy in was late-2002. It's all been uphill since then. Anyone who thinks the economy stinks is in serious need of checking some facts. 
The Johhny Come-Latelys who buy in a frenzy of the good news in a high and rising market are the ones who cause bubbles. The real investors are waiting around biding time until they think it'll be good to sell, before the bubble bursts, again, and again, and again.
