Posted 9 times. I am impressed at the zealousness and jealous at the same time.

need more info...

Which iBook model are you using?
What OS are you running?
Have you recently changed something (added memory, installed new applications, downloaded any software)?
Was the possibly a recent traume to the iBook (spill, dropping, presence of a small child)?

Please describe how the problem first presented itself and the behavior of the machine during the boot up.
Do you hear a normal chime?

The more information you provide, the better we are able to diagnose the problem and the more helpful our suggestions would be.

Re: i hav not done anthing difere

it is a g3

G3 Clamshell? 300 MHz? 333 MHz? 366 MHz? 466 MHz? These are the rounded, colored-case models in Blueberry, Tangerine, Graphite, Indigo, and Lime.

G3 Dual USB? 500 MHz? 600 MHz? 700 MHz? 800 MHz? 900 MHz? 12" or 14"? These are squarish, white models.

os10

10.0 (Cheetah)? 10.1 (Puma)? 10.2 (Jaguar)? 10.3 (Panther)? 10.4 (Tiger)?

The more information you offer us, the greater the likelihood that someone will be able to help.

And not to nitpick, but try only clicking the "Post comment" button *once.*

Which iBook model are you using?900 mhz powerPC G3, 384 Mb SDRAM
What OS are you running?os 10
Have you recently changed something (added memory, installed new applications, downloaded any software)? snood, limewire
Was the possibly a recent traume to the iBook (spill, dropping, presence of a small child)?
no, I treated it good
Please describe how the problem first presented itself and the behavior of the machine during the boot up. when I booted it up from work it started up completely black, i then slapped the back of it and the color turned on. Then lights flashed vertically along the screen, it works sometimes but shuts off on itself or asks to restart.
Do you hear a normal chime? most of the time, but sometimes it gets halfway there and you hear the fan stop

Classic logic board failure

If you get it to an authorized Apple repair center *immediately*, you might still be able to get this repaired free of charge through Apple's repair extension program. Ask the tech whether this machine falls under the "iBook logic board REP"

If you don't have an Apple repair center near you, call 1 800 MY APPLE. Have your serial number ready.
