what happened to the message? You honestly expect us to go on that short sentence?
Power adapter failure? Logic board failure? We need some more details like what kind of "book" it is and how this whole thing started.
Which "book g3" is this?
An iBook? (What color? What shape? What speed?)
A PowerBook? (Which model? What ports? What speed?)
Does it chime? Any noise at all from the speakers (clicks, hum, static)?
Does the LED light up or flash in a pattern (please describe if it does)?
Anything happening at all on the display? Does the backlight come on, even momentarily?
Any non-backlit image (you might need to use a flashlight to determine this)?
Any fan activity? Drive activity?
Have you tried a known-good power adapter? A known-good battery? Have you tried to start up without the battery?
Has this machine worked before in your possession? Have you changed anything since the last time it did work?
Any catastrophic events recently (thunderstorms, falls, spills, fireworks mishaps, alien attacks)?
The more information you provide (and you didn't provide much), the better we are able to answer your questions in a way that might approach being helpful.
IT DOESNT TURN ON AND THE BATTERY DOESNT CHARGE I ALWAYS SEE THE GREEN LIGHT, I NEVER SEE THE YELLOW LIGHT IT MEANS THE BATTERY IS NOT CHARGING.ITS WEIRD BECAUSE BEFORE MY LAPTOP WORKED VERY WELL UNTIL THE BATTERY DIDNT HAVE MORE CHARGE.
BYE AND THANKS
Wow.
Put this in your notebook: If you want people to help, it usually is best to:
• Offer as much information as possible up front
• Answer questions that the good Samaritans have as they try to help
• Not get upset when people ask questions as they try to help
• Use proper grammar and punctuation to make your comments easily understood
At least we now know which machine we're talking about, but you haven't answered even half the questions I alone asked.
Different behaviors can indicate different underlying problems, and thusly suggest different courses of action to solve those problems. I asked questions to try to gather as much information as possible, in order to give you an accurate answer.
Not that it's going to do you any good now: you've chased me away. Maybe someone else will be willing to help, if you treat them kindly.
