Is there anyone who can help me to extract some clips from my video file? We shot a video on my convocation. I wish to cut my parts and want to put on my website.
I will really appreciate if someone could help me out here.

We'd love to help, but we'll need more information than you've provided...things like:
* What format the video is in
* Is it already in your computer, or on 8mm tape, etc.
* What computer you've got (Mac/windows, model)
* What bundled software you have available
There are many software out there which support these kind of features. But I don’t want to give you the name and make it look like spam. Just search the Google or Yahoo and you will find many. Following a link to Download.com where I used video toolkit as search string to find such a software.

I have recently used one of them and it was very easy to use, especially for newers.

for what he wants to do, if he has a PC and Windows XP, movie maker is what he might want to use. Apple's iMovie is good. i would suggest using quicktime to export the movie data and use iMovie to re-arrange it. other than that, you can use something like emencoder (totally freeware) and use that to make it to DV and use iMovie then reexport it and use emencoder to re-encode it to something you want to use as the format.

As I've noted before, if you've got to stoop to these methods to flog your product, it must be a real steaming pile.
if we setup a filter that if 2 people used the same IP Address to make an account in under 24 hours, it would reject the second account. Since most of these are done under the same IP Address, you would think if you made them wait for 24 hours, it would be harder for them to post the spam link, and they would move on to another site instead of coming back to post. it wouldn't be worth coming back if they had to figure out how much time it would take for it to clear
