Beltway traffic?

If I leave downtown D.C. at 4:00, is it possible to make it to Harrisburg by 6:30, going through Baltimore?

What if I go out to Frederick then head up Rt. 15?

Thanks.

That's 4:00 PM, btw. 4:00 AM and I'd be a lot more confident! Smile

Answer to come...

I emailed my dad, he's the king of Washington DC and Maryland traffic. I'll probably have a response tomorrow morning. Anyway, if you do the 15 route, you'll go right through Leesburg, where I live! Wink

Nope

Alright, my dad said it would be very unlikely, the drive alone without any traffic at all would take 2.5 hours, but when you add rush hour traffic...

How are you planning to get to Frederick?

Made it

Went the Frederick route. Took 29S to 695N to 270N to 15N. Traffic slowed down to about 30 mph around 5:00 in Frederick, but picked up to however-fast-you-want-to-drive after I made it out of Frederick on Rt. 15.

D.C. to Harrisburg is almost exactly two and a half hours. (I left at 4:00, made a few wrong turns downtown, and arrived at 6:45.

BDub chuckles thinking about wrong turns and Harriburg in the same sentence.

I hate that city.

D.C.

The wrong turns were in D.C. Certainly not in Harrisburg! Wink

Harrisburg

You've heard all about me and Harrisburg. I hate getting lost.

Meh. Perhaps it's only when I get lost after being in a car for 40 hours.
