Viper,

Don't you guys up in the Great White North have a regular Parcel Post?
$98.00 shipping is just a hair less than what you had before-eh? lol

yes, unfortunately us Canadians are one a lose lose situation with international shipping.. we get it both ways (selling and purchasing). maybe all you americans should move up to Canada and then sell all your apple goodies!

canadianviper: are you getting out of 8 bit apple altogether? if not, what is your main apple now?

I have wondered for a long time why there is not a "less intrusive" trade relationship between the U.S.A. and CANADA..

Both countries were formed out of British and to a lesser extent French Colonies, and in the last 100 years have been desirable destinations for Immigrants from all over the world.

The number of Movies and TV shows that are filmed in One Country and shown is Both incredible and actually goes Both Ways.. I would guess because the Cultures are close enough alike, that it can be profitable to be in both Countries.. Even the the Yellow School Bus color originated in the U.S.A. and CANADA and is a Mandated Standard in Both Countries. ( I didn't even realize this until a Dr. Who Confidential mentioned that Yellow School Buses are NOT the Norm outside of the U.S.A. and CANADA ) also Emergency Services are contacted with the same Number ( 9-1-1 ) in both Countries, unlike the Rest of the World.

Both countries seem to be more alike than different...

So it would really be nice to exchange "goods and services", especially on an "individual level", with out all the "overhead"..

Maybe we need to setup Boarder Town Swap Meets.....

Re: Selling off my final apple IIe

my main machine will be IIGS i am pickup up tonight on a "pick", its loaded and has a nice big hard drive to boot.

i still have 1 of each machine II+,//e,IIc and several clones left for my personal enjoyment.
i mananged to make over a grand selling off machines that were just collecting dust, and i enjoy seeing them find new owners who will actually use them rather then having them sit in my office on a shelf.
I will still be going on the occasional computer "pick" from time to time, because finding abandoned apples and restoring them gives me a huge rush but i wont be hoarding them anymore.
