Where to get AppleWorks 5.0

On asimov.net, there are two versions:

-- A 6-disk version from Beagle Brothers. Disk 1 of this won't even boot.

-- An 11-disk installer from Quality Computers. Upon booting the first disk and electing to install AppleWorks, you're asked to insert the "AppleWorks Program Disk". None of the 10 remaining disks will suffice. Even copying all the files from all 11 disks to a volume on the CFFA3000 doesn't work.

Any ideas or suggestions?

What about AppleWorks 5.1 on a 800k floppy?

I just dumped all of the contents of the Beagle version onto a single virtual drive and was able to run it. Apparently these files all need to be in the same place at the same time, and so probably would have required an installer program. Oh, and it wouldn't run on AppleWin - it only ran under GSport. So it may require a GS to run, though I can't imagine why.

1. Boot ProDOS 2.03 from other disk.
2. Beagle Bros Disk 1 in drive 2
3. change to Drive 2
4. start Appleworks.system
follow instructions.....
or follow up advice from david_schmidt...

David's suggestion of dumping all the Beagle Bros. files to a single volume worked, mostly. The program still fails trying to load inits when you start it; asking for the "AW.INITS" disk and checking the floppies, even though all the files it wants are right there. But I'll probably figure out some directory naming thing to get that workings.

Thanks all!
