new iMacs to look like . . . ?

Allegedly the new G5 iMacs will be an all-in-one design, with the MLB and everything else located inside the display housing. Hmm, sounds kinda like my TiBook desktop concept!

I've been checking out the current Apple LCD displays and I bet the iMac will look substantially like those. So now my idea is to take my all-in-one TiBook and fab an Apple LCD lookalike stand and case with (of course!) a TiBook inside it.

I doubt that whole rumor of e

I doubt that whole rumor of everything being mounted behind the LCD is even true. First off, it'd look crappy. I'm sure they'll have something better in mind.. Isn't this thing in a few days? I can't wait. But I doubt this design is what they have in store.

I also plan on getting one as my next main Mac. I contemplated a G5 Tower, but a G5 iMac with a screen of any size BIGGER than what I've been stuck with for 4 years (1024x768) will make me happy no matter what.

Of course, the pic might just be of one of Apple's current displays. I tried to compare pics, but the gizmodo image isn't clear enough, or mebbe I'm too bleary.

It's Not Long Now

You can wait until the Expo starts on Monday for some news, can't you?

I wonder if Phil Schiller will be able to pull off a Keynote as well as Steve Jobs. Jobs really has that, "Oh, and one more thing" thing down.
