wtb: video card for b&w

Hey everyone-
After having my beloved beige g3 stolen from me (http://www.applefritter.com/node/view/4283), a good friend gave me a pieced together b&w from his collection. Only problem is, it came with an old video card that is not supported under Panther. I can install it fine, but I never get anything better than 4 bit video, and it is pretty much unusable. What I need is a os-x compatible video card, the cheaper the better. I am not a gamer, nor amI doing anything really graphic intensive. I would actually prefer an original ATI Rage 128, like what it had OEM. I am sure there is someone out there who has upgraded the video on the b&w and has one of these lying around. Any chance you want to sell it to me? I can pay with paypal. Thanks!

Do you happen to know which video card is in there now? That problem sounds exactly like one I was having with ATI XClaim 128 VR Pros in B&W's I was having. Try updating to 10.3.5 and see if you get millions of colors back (it worked for me).

Good luck!

Not sure what your price rang

Not sure what your price range is, but the Radeon 9200 PCI is a great card, and leaps and bounds faster then any other PCI card for the mac, and the price is pretty good as well (129 bucks brand new)

Ok guys, despite the fact that my card was made in 1997 and is unlike any other card I have seen in a mac before, Wallstreet was right and after I installed the 10.3.5. update, it started working beautifully (at least for a 4 mb video card) Thanks guys!
