WTB: Original 1979 Apple ][+

Hello, I have been looking for an Apple ][+ for a while. Does anybody have an Apple ][+, made between 1979 - April 1980? I do live in Turkey, so the only delivery option would be shipping...

Well, I can't afford. But now, I have considered. An Apple III (made between 1980-82) would be fine... Does anybody have?

Perhaps you can. Check your PMs (again Smile and it depends on what you want.

A low serial# Rev 0 Apple II is not likely to be had for a couple hundred dollars. A high serial (50-60k) Apple II is much more affordable.

Same goes with an Apple ///. What condition? 100% working? Museum quality like Dramsey just got? (damn that's a nice machine!!!) or a working but quite filthy one like I got for a couple hundred bucks with no boxes or packaging etc.?

So many great collectors on here I am sure someone has a "starter" machine or a "quality" machine that is but one of several they have and would part with for a very reasonable price.
The Apple II I quoted you is a Rev. 0 with ceramic ICs and a serial just over 2000. As I said I also have one that is a serial close to 60,000 that would be a fraction of the cost.

Everyone here has been so helpful (and generous) I am sure one of us can get you going.

Seems we have to acknowledge an increasing amount of voltures,
making here new registration and then entering the platform
hunting with WTB threads hunting for precious machines
and
only wanting to pay for bargain-price or better even just donation
and probably even getting the shipoment granted too...???

seem that voltures believe us to be that stupid to kick out
a computer worth several hundreds of dollars for 100 bucks or less...????
not for collection but surely for soon resale at ebay
for "THIS is laughable" amount just for profit.....

so O.K.:
Anybody here wanting to sell me a original Apple 1 for 50 bucks ?????

lol or lofl....

that´s surely the sort of members we have been waiting for years here in the community....
while other members here in the community have been searching for years
for collectable equipment for their collection for fair prices...

Nebraska,

If you can reach out to this sight, you can get to eBay.

I will tell you that if you do go up there you will find out what we as a community already know.
It's a Mad House!

Last year any one of us could find decent Apple II Plus and Apple III units for less than $75.00.

Look up there now and you will find $800.00 to $1000.00 Apple II Plus units and $500.00 to $1500.00 Apple III's.

I have no idea what these people are thinking, but some very uninformed people are buying very few of these units.

Keep in mind those are asking prices. On fleaBay people can ask for the sky, but that doesn't mean they'll get it; I don't think I actually saw one move at those prices. Last year a II+ can be had for under 100, and this year they seem to go for 150 give or take. Condition of the machines seem to have deteriorated however. Some of the machines being sold are in pretty sad shape.

Yes, I was glad to have got mine in spring 2011. All told, including shipping, it was less than $100.

Right before Christmas ][+ prices (along with most everything else) were sky high. I sold two machines for over 600 each, one with all the original boxes but the other was just a nice, clean, tested working machine with a fair amount of extras.

I was shocked they went for that much. (and extremely pleased of course....made for an extra special Christmas for my children!)

I guess the deals are just harder to come by now. I lucked out back in the fall of last year and got 6 ][+ machines with tons of drives, cards and a monitor (or two?) that were from someone in California.

Was a lot of money but the six machines (5 1/2 actually since one had no keyboard) worked out to $106 per machine including shipping.

You just never know what the hell is going to happen with prices.

Back to the OP, only one of my (went from never having one to having two now) Apple /// machines is working and I am unwilling to part with it at this time. If I can get the other working I will gladly move it along but that may be awhile as I have too many other projects in the pipeline right now.

Hello, again. The reason I am looking for (now it is) an Apple ][+ is making my Apple collection wider. I can not give more than $600. As I said before, I live in Turkey. All the II+s' on eBay does not ship to Turkey...
