Re: Apple stuff, old and new, for sale and/or trade.

Just wondering if nobody is really in need of these machines, doesn't want to trade, or if I have priced myself out of the market? Wink Any comments are appreciated as if I don't sell them here or locally I was going to put them up on ebay. I just wanted to avoid that wonderful experience if possible Smile

Honestly, you're asking prices are on the high side. That's maybe why you didn't get much response. I do see you are taking offers, though, so that's good.

Re: Apple stuff, old and new, for sale and/or trade.

I guess the bummer for me is I am selling them for approx what I have into them.

About a year ago I got back into Old Computers. I got $300 in the SE/30, $230 in the LC III and $380 in the C64. :/ Maybe I paid too much.

The missus just wants the "guest room" cleared out for "Baby room" and these machines and parts would have nowhere to go except a non-climate controlled shed to freeze/cook and I can't bare to do that to them as this stuff gets harder and harder to find.

I remember when one could find an IIe or C64 for $5 at a thrift store.

Honestly, I would rather trade for things for the only machine I'm keeping... the IIgs. My youth belonged to Commodore, but I always thought the IIgs was super cool for whatever reason, so when my wife's uncle gave me one? Well, I love it, but I think that might have been the last straw in for the wife in terms of the space we have, the space we will need, and honestly the attention I can devote to 'classic machines' anyway Wink

If anybody has any IIgs (or maybe IIc (as it will stow nicely beside shoe boxes in the house) we might find something equitable for the both of us. For instance: Right now I could really use a ROM1 IIgs and some 5.25 and 2.5" disk drives.
