I think the OP means this board, at least according to the part number.

They show up on ebay from time to time.
670-x003 is intended for use with modems while 670-x005 is for printers. And the SuperSerialCard (SSC) we all know and love works with both.

I have a "REV 1 Communication Board" that I would Loan Out..

Apple Rev-1 Communication Board

Apple Rev-1 Communication Board Close Up

I guess this is an Early Version of the 670-X003_ Card...

Hi MarkO!

I appreciate the offer, but another member is already loaning me one for the VCFSE activities. I'm not even sure I can get a working phone line, but at least I can show attendees how rudimentary it was in the beginning - a Panasonic cassette tape deck and a 300 baud acoustic modem Smile

Those were the golden days!!

Thank you for the kind offer!!

Jennifer

ps: I plan on having 2 computers at the show, my Rev 1 Apple II with the above mentioned "showcase" of early technology and a later Apple II+ with people can actually play some games on.

Sounds Really Great...

We have talked before, and I mentioned that I have a Rev-03 Apple ][ that my dad found 10-15 years ago at a Garage Sale.. About 18 Months ago I got a pair of Disk ][ on eBay, for the Minimum Bid of $25.00, an since then I have acquired a few Apple Parallel Cards and the Serial Communication card that I was able to test with I believe VisiTerm for the Apple ][+ with its HGR 70 Column mode.

Hi MarkO!

Hey sounds like you are getting that Rev 03 up and running! Excellent!!

I managed to find an Early Apple II+ which had (gasp) all of the early Apple cards in it! Including a very early version of this card that I needed.

Working on restoring the ancient joystick that came with it, but so far everything is golden!
