Pipe-Backslash Key | 1.85 MB |
I just got a new (to me) IIc and it is beautiful. During cleaning, I accidentally broke the post holding the "pipe-backslash" character!
Glue didn't hold.
This is for the late model IIc.
Again, this is for the pipe/backslash character under the delete key.
I've attached a photo below. I posted the back of another key so that you can tell what kind of post I'm looking for.
Thanks!
So is the post stuck in the key or is the keyswitch the issue? Just checking because I have a way you can remove the key post from the key, if the keyswitch is broken that requires soldering.
The post broke from the key. I super-glued it and let it sit overnight.
I put the key back in but in just a few clicks it broke off again. I managed to pull the post out of the key. '
I might try epoxy but I don't have a lot of faith in it staying. I'm tempted to glue it directly to the key but I don't like doing that.
