Macintosh 128 with upgrade and something odd

I just picked up a "dead" Mac 128 that is quite interesting.  There's an upgrade inside of it that adds memory and a SCSI port. The board is a Digi-Graphics "Simmer". I cleaned the machine up, checked all the soldering, re-seated everything  and now it works. The other interesting thing about it is the fact that on the inside of the rear case there are no signatures. I have several other machines (128, 512 and Plus) and they all have the signatures in the case plastic. Anybody ever seen a compact Mac without them?

Is this upgrade one of those

Is this upgrade one of those that clips onto the top of the 68000?  I have a device like that which came out of an early Mac to add an internal hard drive.  It came with a non-SCSI hard drive, I forget which brand.  I've never used it because the oldest Mac I've ever had was a Plus.  I had a 68020 accellerator for the Plus back in the day which was also a clip-on thing.  What a kludge to get around the lack of slots.

As it turns out they are there. They are so faint that they're only visable under the right light. I've never seen that before.

This one has many soldered wires to the logic board. I had to do some reflowing to make the system work, but now the SCSI and extra memory work perfectly.
