5mb Profile

Hi, does anybody know if the 5MB profile drive is compatible with the Apple II? I know the 10MB drive is and I see 10MB controller cards on ebay but never 5MB cards. Could you use the 10MB card with the 5MB drive?

I believe they did the 5MB

I believe they did the 5MB Profile for use with the //e back in the day.  One caveat is I believe it was really only supported for ProDOS and the Apple UCSD Pascal systems, I don't think they offered Apple DOS 3.3 support for it at all.  I don't know if the controller card is different for the 5MB and 10MB drives or not, but I don't recall ever seeing that they were either.

I'm using both a 5 & 10mb

I'm using both a 5 & 10mb Profile on an Apple II.

The only difference between 5 & 10mb Apple II controllers is the EPROM.

Ok, thanks for the information. I have this 5mb profile drive sitting around with an apple 3 card so I was wondering if I could do anything with it on my 2e or plus if I found an apple II card. Thanks all for the help.
