CPU test software

Hi

I have overclocked my emac, and would like to know if its a 100% reliable. Is there an application, that can stress test my cpu? I have tried to encode a dvd, but aren't sure that uses the cpu for a long enough period...

Try running SETI, distributed

Try running SETI, distributed.net, or any of the other CPU cycle fillers. You can let them run as long as you want (days, weeks, months) and then you'll have a decent stress test of the CPU/FPU power.

Get distributed.net client (d

Get distributed.net client (dnetc) and set it to run RC5 only in the "work precidence" part of the settings. Then run it for a week solid, and see if it crashes at all. If you can run it for one solid week with no crashes or shutdowns/reboots/etc then your cpu should be stable.

Guage Pro does not load up the CPU at all. It just shows specs and memory throughput (which is very inaccurate).
