What is a REPEATERRRR and a SCOOTER II?

So I just bought an Apple II Plus and it has a couple of unusual add-ins

The first one is the REPEATERRRR card that was attached to the keybord decoder and had a wire to pin 1 on the 74LS251 cip located below mthe Game I/O port. I tried to Google this card but didn't finda any thine useful. Ther is a company name in the top right corner that HOME and the letter O has a lighting bolt on it.

The next I assume is a ROM reader called SCOOTER II. Anyone have any information about this device?

This computer is somewhat working but has the usual keyboard issues due to age and and the power supply started to smell a few minutes after I powered it on so I am going to re-cap the PSU before it blows.

Thanks for any info.

Autorepeat and game port switch

The first board is an autorepeat modification.

See the article "Home Projects (7): Cheaperrr Repeaterrr and Shift Key Mod By Roger Flint" in mini'app'les June 1983.

ftp://ftp.apple.asimov.net/pub/apple_II/documentation/magazines/miniapples/miniapples_v06n03_1983-06.pdf

"If you hold down any key longer than 1/2 second it will start repeating itself. As soon as you let it go it will stop."

This is different from the stock Apple II keyboard, which has a separate REPT key that repeats the last key pressed 10 times per second.

The second board is a Game Port switch that allows flipping from a joystick to the paddles without unplugging cables from the main board and the concomitant ESD dangers. See Computist #76 page 16.

Magazine ad for REPEATERRRR

I filched these images from an ebay auction in September 2020 for a REPEATERRRR, may be of some interest?
