Any one know where to get .DSK images anywhere?

Hey guys nice to be part of an elite dorky club ;P

Im having a problem though . I can not find macintosh games in .DSK format ANYWHERE. i have spent the last 5 hours scouring the internet and all i can find are .sit files and some other  ones i cant use with winimage or omniflop. I am hoping you guys know of the mecha of uncompressed  .dsk images somewhere im missing . Mainly i am looking for prince of persia . I just got a PerformaCd and im dying to play some games i grew up with on there native machine .

Anyway . any leads will help thank you .

.DSK images are generally

.DSK images are generally used with Apple II machines, not Macs. .sit files refer to StuffIt, which was a Mac-centric file compression format (similar to .zip on Windows, but not the same). They aren't disk images, so you can't write them directly to floppies using a Windows computer. Some Mac software/games archived on the Internet are in .img format though, which are Mac disk images, and generally those can be duplicated to floppies using Windows tools.

Isn't that only possible if the Mac has a 1.4M drive?  I was under the impression that Windows floppy drives can't write 800k or 400k Mac floppies.

Not sure which model Performa he's referring to, but they all have 1.4 MB drives.

GREYLANCER, which Performa? Does it have ethernet?

Thanks so much for the info .

Thanks so much for the info . So heres the deal. i found a file yesterday that was "princeofpersia.img.bin." I thought i had found what i was looking for . the actual file extension when inspecting it was "BIN" i used Omniflop to write that to a disk and my Mac wouldnt read it .

Is there a program you could recomend to write files to disk on windows for macintosh . I also have a modern mac i could use.

I have tried Winimage,Omniflop and gemexplorer or something like that  , forget the name.

Do you have Stuffit Expander

Do you have Stuffit Expander on your Performa? If so, I would buy an AAUI transceiver, then go to old.applefritter.com in whatever browser and download the BBS client.

OK , So this was not the most

OK , So this was not the most straight forward way of doing this but i figured it out lol. Basically to be able to write disks that will work on a real macintosh from windows i had to first download a .SIT file (in this case prince of persia) . Then install sheepshaver on windows. Make sheepshaver have access to a windows folder. Then from windows  i downloaded  Stuffit expander and Disk copy that will work on whatever OS you have on sheepshaver, in my case it was 8. THEN transfer and install those programs  onto sheepshaver, Then on sheepshaver uncompress the .sit file and then use disk copy to take the uncompressed disk files and make a .IMG file. I took that BACK to the windows side and then wrote the image to disk with Omniflop. I put the disk into my 6115cd and boom. Its a long walk but im playing POP on my native machine now . so yay . Thanks for all the help guys .
