Apple //e Platinum drops to monitor when attempting to boot from CFFA3000

I'm trying to bring up a new (to me) Apple //e Platinum with a CFA3000 card that I bought from Dreher via eBay a few years ago.  This is the first time that I've tried to use the CFFA3000 in any Apple.

The only cards I have in the machine are an A2DVI v2.0 in slot 3, Smartport floppy card in Slot 6 and the CFFA3000 in slot 7.  I have the CFFA3000's virtual Disk II slot set to slot 5.  The card came with bootable DOS 3.3, ProDos & RobotWars images on the CF.  Trying to boot any of them results in dropping into the monitor (usually at address C521).

The machine boots fine from an actual DOS 3.3 bootable disk from a drive connected to the card in slot 6.  I tried copying that disk to a new disk image on the CFFA3000 and booting from that, but it drops into the monitor just like when using the other images.

I've tried removing the disk controller in slot 6 with the same results.  I can't remove the A2DVI since I need that for the display.

Any ideas?

I figured it out...I mis-read

I figured it out...I mis-read the manual where it described the on/off positions for the DIP switches.  I thought that down (closer to the pc board) was off...turns out off is away from the board. :). I had switches 4 & 7 incorrectly set to on; once I switched them off the CFFA3000 boots fine.

One other question though.  I have the virtual Disk II slot set to slot 5.  The config menu lets you set the boot slot with the default being the slot that the card's installed in (slot 7 in my case).  I can change the option to slot 5 to get the card to boot from a disk image, but that chnage doesn't persist between reboots.  Is that normal, or am I missing a step?
