Apple II and II+ character roms

I have an early revision 0 apple II and it is missing the 2513 character generator chip. Instead it has a lower case mod, a Lazer systems "Lwr case plus". I would like to replace it with a 2513 but haven't been able to find one anywhere. Is the character rom used on the later II+s compatible, The 341-0036? I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Any info would be great.
Thanks,
-=Mike

No, the 341-0036 character ROM is not going to work. I stole the character ROM from a nonfunctional late model revision 4 motherboard last time that I needed one. The revision 4 motherboards use the 2513 character ROM. You can find a revision 4 motherboard in late model Apple II's or early Apple II Plus's. The latest one that I have was made in 1980.

Even if you had to purchase one on eBay, you could pilfer it for the ROM, put your lower case plus ROM in it, then resell it for the price that you paid.
