Apple II Europlus scrambled display

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this great forum and was hoping to get some help on getting an Apple II Europlus working that I recently aquired.

It initially did not turn on at all so stripped down power supply and after replacing damaged capacitors, bridge rectifier and fuse, I now have power.

When I turn it on there is no beep but there is just a scrambled display as shown in image.

It looks like there has already been some work done on this motherboard previously as there is a machine pinned IC socket used for the 6502 CPU.

On the back of the board there are two wires. Not sure if these are also added?

I have some basic soldering skills and and a multimeter and hope I can get this working. Would appreciate any help or suggestions on where to start.

The motherboard number is 820-0044-C

Thanks for reply - I have

Thanks for reply - I have already tried differnet RAM.

I think there may be a problem with Databus or Adressingbus. I'm waiting for some replacement parts to test.

I've been following this guide here which has been very helpful: http://www.appleii-box.de/D04_resurection.htm

Will update if I have any success with this.
