Hey, guys!
A little bit of information regarding authentic Texas Instruments ic sockets. Apparently there are at least 3 varieties of them: absolutely correct without letters inside and without a slot (A), not absolutely correct without letters but with one slot (B) and even less correct with a letter and 2 slots (C). So not all low-profile ic sockets TI are the same, be careful!
These authentic Texas Instrument ic sockets are quite interesting. It is possible to remove each clamping mechanism from an unsealed socket, which is very convenient when dealing with used parts. These mechanisms are made of brass and are quite fragile. You can also remove the top plastic part of the soldered ic sockets and bend the petals for better contact with the chip leg. Or replace it without unsoldering the ic sockets completely. They are fully repairable, the main thing is to have a couple of these ic sockets as a source of spare clamping mechanisms. Apparently someone who is not thrilled with these connectors has never bought ic sockets on aliexpress. That's where the real crap is sold.
