I'm doing some basic experiments and learning the ins and outs of the SSC. Finally!! Currently I have a basic setup II+ to PC (SSC-cable-DB9serialport).
Is it normal for the terminal (PC hypertem) to have to be set to VT100 and FORCE INCOMING TO 7-bit ASCII? FOr unless I do that I get some extra garbage on the PC side.
The 8-bit / 7-bit dip switch on the card doesn't seem to correct this.
Now, if I use VT102 emulation on AlphaCom, I don't have this problem.

Windows terminal software (hyperterm) is barely passable as terminal software. You get exactly what you pay for in that case.
