The ethernet port on my Powerbook G4 1.67 HiRes just died. (I checked the cable and internet with another computer, and they are still good). This seems odd to me. It was a pretty beat up machine when I got it. Is it possible that with moving it a solder joint went bad? I don't think that even if this is the case, it is necessarily worth opening the thing up again to fault trace it. PCMCIA ethernet cards seem readily available.
Any thoughts or advice?
