Hi all
Got my II euro plus working after recapping the power supply
This machine came with a 'super R mod II'. I believe it is a tv modulator so I can connect the II to a normal color TV.
Thing is it was disconnected when I got it.
There is an RGB encoder card and the super R mod II board. I think i am supposed to connect the 2 of them together.
The lead from the super r mod board is a 4 pin connector and there is a 4 pin connector on the RGB encoder - i think it goes there but I dont know what way to connect it ( left to right as such)
there is also a red wire coming from the RGB encoder board. It is another 4 pin connector. I rekon that is supposed to connect to the II motherboard.
I dont have a color monitor and would love to see some color from an apple ii
anybody have any idea as how these are suppose to be connected

All I can tell you is that the Sur R mod enables the computer to output video via RF.
On an Apple iie, the connector you hook up the Sup R mod to is located near the LED indicator light which is located towards the top right hand corner of the motherboard.
On your motherboard, I have no clue where it is but taking into consideration the short length of the connector on these devices, the connector on your motherboard should be located somewhere on the back on your motherboard.
To connect the computer to the tv, you will need a tv/game switch to connect it to the tv and other adapters depending on the tv you plan to use.
thanks insanitor
turns out the RGB encoder card is not related to the super R mod
found this picture and it worked

looks like this system has 2 seperate outputs
It works on the tv now but no color. Reading up on clock timings problems related to color
Here are different solutions:

Hey speedyG
Thanks for that.
The best solution that I have found in the past was to buy the adapters from Nishida Radio and use Component video.
