Hello all,
I'm sort of new here. I've been a lurker for a few years but finally made an account. I have a IIe with a single disk II drive that I've had for years. Last year I packed it away in a closet and just now brought it out today to use it again. Well, me not paying attention I plugged my disk 2 drive into the first row of pins on the card but not the second! When i started the computer up obviously the drive didn't come on but it did make a click. I shut everything down and unplugged and replugged the ribbon cable correctly. When I booted the computer next the drive went through the normal boot up process only this time it will not read or save programs to disks. I tried several of my disks in another drive on my friend's IIe and they ran just fine. I cleaned the head and still no results. Did I accidently fry the drive read/write ability when I plugged it in wrong?
This has happened to a lot of us over the years, I'll wager:

Yeaaa that sounds like that's what's going on. With how cheap the chips are I'll just get all new chips for that board. I'll update how it turns out. Thanks!
