This computer is not yet completely restored...

Some differences to the US and "Europlus" Apple II+ are apparent:

1. Apple PALsoft instead of the normal Applesoft Roms.
341-0021, 341-0022, 341-0023, 341-0024, 341-0025 and Autostart 341-0020 as Apple II+

2. 1 2 additional bit for graphics
This additional 1 2 bit widens the resolution to 320 360 pixels.
Normal Apple II Programs will have vertical black lines.

That looks like a cross between an Apple II and a Radio Shack Color Computer!

Never seen one before. Thanks for sharing.

Apple's entry into Europe, before the Euro Plus:

IIRC, http://apple2history.org/ and Stephan's book has info on the ITT2020..

Re: ITT2020

Question: You see where the 16K RAM selector blocks should be. What are the chips that are in place of them?

Nice addition to your collection! I've wanted a ITT2020 for years.

Even though this Unit has the Serial 10023 (possibly no. 23) most ICs have a date around 82-83. Some Chips date back to 79 or even 78.
At this time Apple was offering the Apple Europlus in Germany. Its strange that this Computer came to life despite the direct competition with apple.
Maybe Apple was forced to go directly into the European market since Basis and the ITT legally offered compatible Systems.

Im exceptionally baffled about the fact that the ITT2020 has a Apple produced black Keyboard (like the Bell&Howell).
Even the Roms seem to be produced by Apple Wink

Apple Licensed ITT to build Clones of the Apple ][, with Apple ROMs. The cases were Identical in shape, but Silver Colored, ( Like the CoCo 1 ). Also, and addition 4K or RAM was added for extra Video Resolution, because of PAL and SECAM.

When the Apple ][+ was release, a revised Applesoft ROM, PALSOFT was released. The Case Design also changed.. These are pictures of the ITT2020 PALSOFT version.

The way the traces were laid out on that disk controller card is awesome. Smile
