Evening all:
I am looking for some guidance. While I am familiar with the Merlin Assembler for Apple II, I am interested in the "history" and "originality" of the Apple 6502 Assembler/Editor.
I am refering to the software associated with this document https://archive.org/details/apple-6502-assembler-editor
I have found the Applesoft Tool Kit software on the mirror but I am unable to find the Assembler/Editor System Disk.
Also, the document refers to 16-sector DOS. Is this the DOS that the Applesoft Tool Kit boots into?
If anyone can help bring some understanding to this, I am most gratful.
Cheers,
mark
Hello Stargeezer,
I looked in my Apple II SoftWare archive and found these three disks :
- AppleSoft Toolkit (EDASM).woz
- DOS Programmers Toolkit_A.woz
- DOS Programmers Toolkit_B.woz
( DOS Programmers Toolkit disks come from www.apple-iigs.info Web site )
Applesoft Toolkit (EDASM Included).zip
I hope that this will answer to your research :-)
Best regards from France
Philippe
Thank you for that. I did find a bit more info online about how to use this. Looks like it was a user ID10T error on my part.
Retrocomputing Forum had a good article. "Going Back to EDASM, the 1980 Apple II Editor/Assembler"
Cheers
Mark,
