PowerBook G4 400Mhz

Hello all,

I have a Apple Powerbook G4 400Mhz Edition in good working condition. 1GB of Ram, Airport Card included. I took the time to remove the PRAM battery. The hinges are getting stiff and will require replacement soon. The paint is mostly good, and there's only a small crack on the front. The hard drive is not wiped, and I don't have the tools to wipe it, so please, as a courtesy, please wipe the drive for me. No laptop battery, but comes with the original Puck Charger. I am mainly looking for trades, preferably for a Powerbook G3  PDQ, or Pismo in very  good cosmetic  and working condition. I will also consider any  cash/e-transfer offers.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

I live in Canada.

For any inquiries, please privately contact me.

Update 2: An Explanantion

Hello all,

I owe you all the explanation . I had  to stop the ad because I also posted the ad on another site. shortly after that ad came up , I was contacted buy the orignal owner, who I contacted and bought the powerbook from that site . I was asked to remove/destroy the HDD.

So now, I am  once again offering the Powerbook G4 for trade, minus the HDD.

wiping considered easy

It may be too late for your present situation, but every OSX system contains tools that can be used to wipe the hard disk.

You simply start the machine with command-option-S held down, and it drops you into the single-user shell with a root command prompt. From there you can type "dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/rdisk0 bs=512k" and wait for about an hour. When the command completes the hard disk will be completely wiped (unbootable).

I hope this information can help you in the future.
