I just picked up a Silentype printer at a flea market that looks to be in exceptional condition given its age. It even came with a roll of thermal paper (that may or may not be any good.) I connected it to my Apple ///, installed the silentype driver and sent a few commands from Business Basic. It appears to go through all the motions (w/o paper installed) - I see the print head move back and forth and the roller advances as I would expect.
Unfortunately, it's missing the two "spring-loaded paper bearings" that are supposed to go in either end of the paper roll. Any idea where I could get something like that or make (3d print) some? Even a picture of what they looked like would be helpful.
